ADVOCATING FOR ABANDONED ANIMALS IN THE EASTERN PANHANDLE OF WV
ADVOCATING FOR ABANDONED ANIMALS IN THE EASTERN PANHANDLE OF WV
The Cat's Voice WV, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, foster-based organization run entirely by volunteers. Our mission is to advocate for the lost and abandoned animals in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia through trap, neuter, release (TNR) programs, fostering, and adopting.
We are a medical rescue, which means we never turn away an animal due to a pre-existing medical condition. Our vet bills are higher, and our animals stay longer in their foster homes, but we believe every animal deserves the chance to live a happy, healthy life.
100% of your donations go directly toward helping the abandoned, sick, and injured animals in our care. Thank you for your contribution.
The Cat's Voice WV is entirely foster-based. We have no building to house our cats; all of our cats live in foster homes in the region.
Our fosters play a critical role in saving cats from a life of living outdoors. Our fosters provide love, care, and attention, either for a predetermined period of time or until the cat is adopted. To be a foster, all you need is a dedicated space, like an extra bedroom or a bathroom, and a desire to show an unwanted animal the love and care it deserves. If needed, all supplies, including food, medicine, cages, will be provided by the rescue.
Apply today to be approved as a foster and save a life!
We are always looking for volunteers to join our rescue. Volunteer options include fostering, attending weekly adoption events, transporting cats to and from vet appointments, trapping feral cats at our TNR sites, and volunteering with kennel cleaning at the Ranson Petco. Contact us for more information!
We offer adoptions for our rescued cats and kittens. Please submit a completed adoption application if you're interested in giving an abandoned cat a new home.
All cats are examined at a veterinary clinic where they are combo tested (FIV/FeLV), receive vaccinations including rabies and FVRCP, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. The fee to adopt is $85. Please consider an additional donation, if you can, to help cover the expenses we incur to care for our rescued cats and kittens.
Are you looking for a cat to reduce the number of mice on your property? Look no further. TNR leads to some unadoptable cats that are unable to return to where they came from and need a safe, warm place to reside. They all come spayed/neutered, with rabies, distemper, and ear tip. There is no fee for them however, donations are always appreciated.
We offer adoptions for our rescued dogs and puppies. Please submit a completed adoption application if you're interested in giving a dog a new home.
All dogs are examined at a veterinary clinic receiving 4DX testing (If over 7 months), vaccinations including rabies and DAPPV, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. The fee to adopt is $200.
We are committed to helping feral and stray cats in our area through TNR. Cats are humanely trapped and receive appropriate veterinary care (spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ear-tipped), then released back to their colony, if appropriate.
If a trapped cat is assessed to be adoptable, they will be placed in a foster home awaiting adoption. If you need assistance with TNR for strays or a feral colony, please complete the form below.
Part of our mission at The Cat's Voice WV, Inc. is to work together with other rescues and organizations to help animals in danger at kill shelters and in the streets. Through relationships and coalitions with other rescues in the Eastern Panhandle of WV and the surrounding areas in MD, VA, and PA, we hope to make a difference by advocating for humane laws and policies for cats.
We attend lots of community events where we collect donations, sell items for donations, and show off our adoptable animals. Come stop by and say hello!
We are proud to be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations made to us are tax-deductible and receipts are available upon request.
We accept monetary donations via PayPal and on Facebook. Please message us if you'd like to send a check or cash.
100% of your donations go directly toward helping our animals receive the medical help they need, as well as for food, water, litter, toys, etc.
We also accept donations of food, litter, toys, crates, etc. Please contact us and we will work out a time to pick up your donations.
Your support enables us to meet our goals and improve living conditions for stray, abandoned and relinquished animals. Thank you for your contribution.
