The Adoption Process
If you are interested in one of our animals, please fill out an application.
We are picky about who our animals go home with. While some organizations may allow anyone to walk out of their doors with an animal, we want to be absolutely sure our animals are going to the best home possible. Our fosters spend a massive amount of time, energy, care, and sometimes money on these animals and want to be sure they end up somewhere great! Our application process involves a background check, calls to personal references, and a call to your veterinary office,
Once your application is approved, we will contact you to set up a meet-and-greet with the animals(s) you wish to adopt. And it’s up to you whether you make your decision to take a new family member home then or do some more thinking before making a final decision. It’s no small thing, adding a new member to your family, so we are happy to give you the time you need to make the right choice.
And if we don’t have any animals that have caught your eye, we’ll be sure to keep you and your needs in mind while doing intakes!
All of our cats are indoor-only and will be adopted to indoor-only homes, except in very rare cases where the cat has shown an absolute and untrainable preference for an outdoor or indoor-outdoor life. If you are searching for an outdoor/barn cat, please fill out our working cat application.
